Egyptian Museum Opens in Kingskerswell School

January 22, 2019

thf_egypt1Kingskerswell School studied Ancient Egyptian culture last term  – and supported by a THF subsidy – invited in award-winning artist James Lake to work with the children.

Following a highly successful cardboard sculpture workshop in November, where the children decorated full-size replica sarcophagi, the school created a museum to showcase the work of the children on the entire Egyptian project that had run throughout the term.

thf_egypt3Parents were invited to the opening and there was an electric buzz of excitement in the two rooms as a wealth of work was on display, with children on hand to explain the artefacts.

Fabulous! Congratulations to all the young artists and researchers who contributed to a really impressive display.
