****THIS EVENT IS NOW SOLD OUT***
We are excited to announce that BAFTA Award Winner, Paul Mayhew-Archer, co-writer of BBC comedy series The Vicar of Dibley and script editor for Mrs Brown’s Boys script editor is returning to Teignmouth to present a Part 2 evening about his life in comedy at the BBC. Paul’s previous visit was a complete sell-out and, unlike Jim Trott of Dibley, Paul will not be repeating himself! The material will be delightfully new and will include insights into working on Mrs Brown’s Boys, working with Dustin Hoffman and Judi Dench on the highly successful Esio Trot and Paul’s take on living with Parkinson’s with which he was diagnosed four years ago.
Paul recently presented a highly successful and much-praised BBC documentary about the latest approaches to Parkinson’s, introducing the public, with his trade-mark off-beat humour, to a subject that many know very little about.
Laughing Matters will be a superb evening of laugh-out-loud humour in the presence of someone with enormous comic talents. The evening takes place at Bitton House on Friday 23rd September by kind permission of Mayor Terry Falcao.
Early reservations are recommended and this advanced notice has only gone out to THF supporters on our mailing list, who will have priority until the public announcement of the event.
Please write your ticket requests to firstname.lastname@example.org with Laughing Matters reservation in the subject line.
Tickets cost £7 and will be publically available from late August from Teign Music, Teignmouth (behind the Post Office) and from Shaldon Post Office. Refreshments – including wine – will be on sale. (Unlike Leticia’s wacky creations from Dibley, there will be no chocolate cupcakes with a hint of liver…) There will also be a great raffle! See you there!
