With the audience “dressed to impress” in a mixture of evening finery and cowboy costumes, guests arrived to walk down a Hollywood-style red carpet and receive a glass of sparkling wine and refreshments and meet members of the cast.
With a Grand Raffle supported by many businesses in Teignmouth, Shaldon and beyond, and a box collection at the end, the charity raised nearly £700. The pantomime was a triumph and, in the best traditions of the Shaldon Company, included many children – some appearing for the first time ever in pantomime. Helen gained her first taste of acting on the stage with the Shaldon Theatre Company pantomimes – and never looked back.
Thank you so much STC! And thank you, Carmen Croxall, from The Very Vintage Hire Company, who provided free such brilliant extras like the carpet, ropes and candelabras that created such a good atmoshere at the event.
Pictured are Annie and Roger Kirk with, between then, long-time great supporter of THF, Viv Wilson MBE – and one of Annie getting the low-down on the red carpet!
