Tom C Evans successfully applied for a Helen Foundation bursary to assist with costs of his hard-won place at the National Youth Theatre.
Recently back home, he writes: “I can definitively say that the 10 days I was with the National Youth Theatre were the BEST TEN DAYS OF MY LIFE. I have had an absolutely incredible time, learned lots, had fun and met so many brilliant and friendly people that I’m sure I will be friends with for a very long time to come.
From the off, I knew that NYT would be like nothing I had done before but I didn’t know how different it would be. …My Director and course assistant were also amazing and truly inspiring people. My course was fantastic and I had a great time, playing games and coming up with pieces. Furthermore it was an incredible experience to perform with 300 of my fellow course members in front of the National Theatre.
NYT has truly been an experience that I will never forget. Without the Helen Foundation it would have been a real struggle for me to attend and have this amazing opportunity. But with their incredible generosity NYT was made available to me and to them I give my infinite thanks. I’m sure my relationship with them will not end and I hope to someday return this generosity to them. Thank You NYT and The Helen Foundation.”
Well done Tom! And thank you THF supporters for making these kinds of opportunities possible.
