We begin with the news of the outstanding success of a THF bursary holder. Dancer Kelis Rabley applied for a bursary to assist her in travel and equipment needed for her appearance in the Great Britain dance team entered for the world Championships in Spain in June. What a success for this highly talented dancer! Her dance team won gold for their interpretation of a number from 42nd Street, and other medals followed.
Kelis’ s mum, Teresa, writes:
“Kelis and I are so grateful for THF help and support in getting Kelis to Sitges for the Dance World Cup. Kelis is such a talented girl and works so very hard at what she does. Her whole life revolves around dance, it is truly her passion and I try very hard to help her fulfil her dreams and ambitions but this can be very difficult as it is all very expensive . ‘The Helen Foundation’ is such an amazing charity helping young people to achieve their potential and their dreams. Thank you again.”
And Kelis writes:
“The most special moment of DWC was when they announced 1st place to me and my team. It was such an emotional experience for us all! Having the chance to dance against many different countries around the world is an unforgettable experience and a great opportunity! The standard was very high and feels really different to the local festivals that I normally compete at. I am very grateful that I was able to go. Thank you THF for your help.
Really well done Kelis! Such an achievement!
We look forward to seeing your continued progress in international dancing.
