Alicia Sandercock is a very talented young dancer currently supported by THF with help for her course at Tring Park, Hertfordshire. She wrote recently to THF to say:
“I would like to tell you a little about my first term at Tring Park. I have really enjoyed very minute and learnt a lot more than I ever thought possible.
The ballet classes are wonderful and the singing lessons are really inspiring and my voice is getting much stronger. At the end of term assessment I came out top in ballet and was very pleased with my progress in other subjects, which I have not studied before. I have been chosen to dance at the Royal Albert Hall in March which I’m thrilled about.”
We wish Alicia every success with her dancing.
JORDAN KENNARD – Singer
“There has not been one time when I have not enjoyed singing. When I sing I feel comfortable, happy, it just makes me feel like there is no else in the world but me and my music. What I want to get out of music is a successful career in the West End and Broadway.”
THF Trustees went to see Jordan playing a major role in Teign School’s production of Grease. He was terrific! We wish him every success in his career.
Jordan’s music teacher, writing in support of his THF bursary application, said:
“He has a wonderful voice with an excellent sense of pitch and rhythm. He is also a very sensitive singer, often choosing songs original for female artists and bringing his own sense of style to them. He took his Rockschool Grade 3 exam recently and gained a very well deserved Distinction. He is equally at home doing the theory and technical based exercises as he is singing contemporary or music theatre repertoire.”
