Cellarstock 2012

July 2, 2012

Another year, another brilliant Cellarstock!   Over the weekend of June 30th and July 1st, sixteen bands and several individual singers performed at this superb free  music festival outside a pub in the heart of Teignmouth.

A favoured haunt of Muse in their Teignmouth days, The Cellars Bar is run by the Hayes family who, each year since 2009, invite local performers to play, donating their services for free. Foundation supporters then collect donations in buckets, and help run the raffle.  Such terrific music!

A previous Foundation bursary holder, Alice Jemima, played her own compositions and Moriaty headlined the Saturday night with Rude Tiger headlining on the Sunday.  It was a terrific weekend that raised over £1,800 with £1,300 going to the charity.

Thank you so much to all the performers, to Kyle who managed the sound system, and especially to Carol Hayes, her daughter Jodie and all the family whose inspiration – and perspiration – the annual event is!

Come next year!  Not to be missed!!
