Dawlish Music Marathon Success

thf_dawlish1Nearly 100 students at Dawlish Community College tool part in a 24 Hour Music Marathon recently. The event benefited The Helen Foundation and students were sponsored to take part. The music  played was very wide ranging including the complete Dark Side of the Moon and concluding with everyone involved taking part in One Day Like This, by Elbow.

Helen Foundation Chairman, Roger Kirk, is a former Principal at the College and comments:

“This was an amazingly ambitious venture and top marks to Jon and all the staff and students who took part. As a former Principal, I am immensely proud of the efforts made by the College to support the charity. Just superb!

The vision in creating the event, the determination to make it succeed and the levels of commitment and enthusiasm by staff and students alike were obvious to all who came.  The latest count shows funds raised approaching £1000. Thank you all so much!
