Jennifer Rayment is a former winner of the Helen Foundation Award when she was at school in Dawlish. Her passion is dance and she runs the very successful Esprit Dance Academy in Exminster near Exeter. In the dance year just completed, the Academy has supported THF in its fund-raising, culminating in the Academy’s first Annual Show held recently at the Shaftesbury Theatre, Dawlish.
Diana Dicker, herself a dancer, and Friend of THF, represented the charity at the event and wrote:”On July 2nd it was my honour to represent THF at the first annual Esprit Dance Academy show at the Shaftsbury Theatre in Dawlish. And it was a privilege to present the prizes to the excelling students.
“But the greatest pleasure was to share the sheer joy these young dancers exuded as they went through their paces in a glittering, action-packed evening.
“Hats off to the young and talented director Jennifer Rayment. And a big thanks to the Academy for choosing THF as their charity to raise funds for this, their first, year. Jennifer is a past recipient of a THF award and it is especially lovely that she has reciprocated.
“I wish her, the school and the young dancers well. This is one to watch.”
Jennifer writes herself:
“I’d like to thank everyone who came to support the Academy and myself in our First Annual Show. We had such a great evening and the students made me so proud.
“I’d also like to thank Diana Dicker for coming to the show and for the wonderful speech she made about The Helen Foundation and Esprit Dance Academy.
“Lastly I’d like to thank Annie and Roger Kirk for their continued support through out the year and I look forward to our cheque presentation evening where we can give The Helen Foundation the funds the Academy has raised over the last year.”
THANK YOU SO MUCH JENNIFER AND EVERYONE AT ESPRIT!
