Fund Raising Round Up – May 2012

May 1, 2012

Widecombe School

Widecombe horse mural Jan 2012 – Something very special happened at Widecombe School last month that raised an amazing amount of money for two charities, including The Helen Foundation.

The school community arranged a professional-standard exhibition of artwork at the Ilsington Country House Hotel, leading to an auction. Artists themselves and the two nominated charities shared the proceeds of the event. Over £1250 was raised for The Helen Foundation alone. Thank you SO MUCH everyone at Widecombe, a small Dartmoor community with a huge heart!

Stan Ford at Welcome Family Holiday Park, Dawlish Warren

Stan Ford, a regular visitor at Welcome Holiday Park in Dawlish Warren, raised money at the holiday camp for the Foundation and sent a cheque for £500. Terrific. Thank you Stan – this is really generous of you!

Last year, the charity fund-raisers The Chudlians, raised thousands of pounds for the Foundation at the Welcome Family Holiday Park.

Civic Service, Teignmouth

The Helen Foundation was nominated by Teignmouth Town Mayor, David Cox, as the beneficiary of the retiring collection at this year’s Civic Service. Friends of The Helen Foundation attended the ceremony and over £200 was raised by generous donors. We thank everyone in the local community who contributed.
