Gardner Family Concert – Just Brillliant!

October 24, 2014

Ben Gardner is an exceptionally talented 16 year old musician, highly skilled on both viola and piano. He received a Helen Foundation bursary to help purchase a viola to further his studies at the Royal College of Music.

For two years running, supported by his family, Ben has spearheaded a THF fund-raising concert in St John’s Church, Bishopsteignton. This year’s concert was superb!

Playing both keyboard and viola, and supported by his sister Gemma playing violin and friend Sarah Robbins, Ben played music from the Baroque through to the 20th Century with astonishing skill.

What a treat!  The Gardner family all fully contributed to the event, having made lovely cakes that they served with tea at the interval. The whole event raised £400 – £200 for THF and £200 for the church. Thank you so much!
