Helen Foundation Award Winner, Dawlish- Harry Scrope-Howe

February 3, 2017

thf_harry_winnerHarry Scrope-Howe is one of those extremely rare students who have won the THf Award twice in their lives.  In harry’s case, he won it first at gatehouse primary School in 2011 and last term, Harry won it again as a student at Dawlish Community College. DCC Head of Drama Lizzie Hedden writes:

“This award winner has been entertaining us, in many forms, for many years.  An enormous amount of time was given up by this student to provide beautifully choreographed, innovative and perfectly rehearsed dances for so many college events, including Christmas shows, whole school productions, ex arts showcases, musical evenings, 24 hour concerts and many more.

This student is also an excellent actor and these skills were combined in last year’s Christmas show to provide a comedy dance and performance sketch to entertain us all!

Not only is this student extremely hard-working and highly professional in rehearsals, he is also so much fun to direct – I won’t ever forget the laughter and intense enjoyment we all had when working on the shows.

If we don’t see him treading the boards – or should I say leaping all over the boards – in the future – I’ll pickle my walnuts.”
Really well done Harry!  We look forward to hearing about your future successes!
