Maesteg and District Male Voice Choir to visit Teignmouth – Sat 17th May

May 15, 2014

thf_event_maestagThe world-famous Maesteg and District Male Voice Choir is coming to the United Reformed Church, Teignmouth, courtesy of the church authorities, who have nominated The Helen Foundation as the benefiting charity.

The choir perform all over the world for charitable purposes and we are very grateful to them and to the church for their wonderful support.

Their guest soloist this year is Teignmouth-based soprano, Jodie Newton.  The choir is directed by Rhian Jenkins and accompanied by Ryan Wood. Their programme is an impressive mixture of great Welsh anthems, songs from the shows and choral favourites like the Hallelujah Chorus.
The evening ends with their famous free “after-glow” event where, following the close of the printed programme, members of the choir return for an informal singing session among the audience.  Not to be missed!  There will be a raffle,  and refreshments, including wine and beer, will be available.
