Millie Kelly attended Teignmouth Community School where she was taught and encouraged by the outstanding Head of Art, Sue Williamson. Millie then went to the renowned Foundation Art Course at KEVICC school, Totnes.
While at KEVICC in 2012, Millie successfully applied for a Helen Foundation bursary to enable her to buy high-quality oil paints for her Final Exhibition. She then completed a beautiful 9-panel landscape series of the River Teign, swiftly bought by a Helen Foundation Patron, providing Millie with her first substantial art sale.
Millie went from strength to strength, gaining a place at Wimbledon College of Art and, after graduating in 2015, she entered one of London’s premier art competitions for recent art graduates – the Clyde and Co Award. She won First Prize, and £5000, having been selected from all of London’s 2015 art graduates, including Wimbledon, the Slade, St Martin’s, Goldsmiths – by the unanimous decison of three independent judges.
Totally brilliant Millie – we are so proud of you!
