Hazeldown Workshop

Lorraine Hurt of Hazeldown writes: "John Dougherty, author of over 30 books including "There's s a Pig Up My Nose" and the ˜Stinkbomb and Ketchup Face" series of books, visited Hazeldown School on 17th March 2020. John read extracts from his story books and poetry books to the children.

He also played his guitar and sang songs with the children that they enjoyed participating in. John worked with all the children in school by providing 3 different sessions. At the end of each session there was time for the children to ask the author questions and he stayed on at the end of the day to sign copies of his books.

All the children, and staff, enjoyed the sessions and there were a lot of requests for copies of his books in the school library the next day.

We are very grateful to The Helen Foundation for funding this visit and the Pavilions Teignmouth who helped to organise the event."  Click here for more information and pictures of the event.
