Izzy Walker successfully applied for a THF bursary to help with the costs of her Foundation Art course at KEVICC, Totnes. Now in her final term, Izzy is working on creating an illustrated book.
She writes:
"For my final major project I am now illustrating a children’s book. The purpose is to produce a self-help for both the parents and the child. The book character's name is Eli and he goes about his day trying to subtly teach the reader into overcoming fears and doing jobs to help his parents. In the future, I might start art therapy for young children in some way. I feel they are the most overlooked age group and I’m looking into how I can change up that system."
Beautiful pictures for your book, Izzy. What a great project! All the best with your career choice.
