ORANGE ELEPHANT ICE CREAM COMES UP TRUMPS FOR ELLA

Drivers passing Kenton on the Devon Expressway cannot miss seeing the Orange Elephant on Taverner's Farm, advertising the delicious farm-made ice-cream. Helen Taverner makes and sells the ice cream at the farm and employs local people to sell and serve it in their ice cream parlour.

One of the young people Helen employed was Ella Philp, who suddenly and tragically fell very ill and died while at university aged just 19, earlier this year. As we reported in the June THF newsletter, her family contacted THF and set up a fund-raising appeal for THF through JustGiving to raise money for a special school-based project in her memory. Ella had been employed by Helen Taverner as one of her hard-working and much-loved students, and Helen has made a generous donation to THF in her memory, to add to the total so far raised through the JustGiving page, for which we are truly grateful.
