The highly successful BBC big weekend at Powderham Castle in 2016 headlined Devon-based Coldplay, and gave a performance opportunity to a number of young upcoming musicians. Immediately enthused and inspired, the Countess of Devon, A J Langer, called together a group of interested groups including The Cave in Teignmouth and THF to explore the possibilities of creating a programme for young people to develop and display their talents. Since then, the project called Powderham Live! has continued to develop and thrive. In a recent update, AJ Langer wrote, "Powderham Live! is now a year round activity. Your support and generosity is crucial to our journey!”
Well done all those involved. Such an exciting on-going project! Powerham Live! is now a CIC which should enable the project to access new grant funding to expand its activities further.
