Shaldon Singers support THF

The Helen Foundation depends for its success on donations from a wide variety of local sources, including through its collecting pots located in businesses and organisations across Teignbridge.  Trustees are very grateful for this continuing support.

On May 11, there was a very special concert in St Peter’s Church, Shaldon given by Shaldon Singers under the direction of Shirley Taylor. This was their 40th anniversary concert and included the world première of ‘Song of the Teign‘specially commissioned by Shaldon Singers from internationally renowned composer Laura Rossi for their anniversary.  The concert  featured Shaldon Sinfonietta and soloists Héloïse West, Jonathan Waterworth and James Quilligan. Pictured is Laura with her presentation flowers.

The Chairman of THF, Roger Kirk, gave a short address and there was a collection at the end of the concert in support of The Helen Foundation which raised £600.

Thank you, Shaldon Singers and your wonderful audience, so much for your support!
