THE HELEN FOUNDATION AWARD AT MORETONHAMPSTEAD

The schools wrote:

"The Helen Foundation’s Best Endeavour in the Arts award at Moretonhampstead goes to someone who has quietly gained confidence in her abilities throughout Year 6.

Working with MED Theatre, she was proactive in the writing of our production, The Beckaford War, paying homage to those affected by World War II in our local community. Alongside her knowledge of the historical time period, she improved her ability to present to an audience, as well as her acting skills playing young evacuee, Edith."

"In preparation for our Body Language performance at South Dartmoor Community College, she fastidiously designed her ancient Greek-style costume, cutting, sewing and altering with meticulous care and skill. Diligently learning the routine for our Minotaur’s Mystical Maze performance, she executed each balance with precision and every movement with grace, poise and purpose.

As part of our River Teign Restoration Project, she has deftly sketched salmon, taking enormous care to include fine detail in her drawing and adding depth through light and shade.

The Helen Foundation’s Best Endeavour in the Arts award goes to someone who can always be relied upon to put her utmost effort into everything she does and has great pride in doing so. The Helen Foundation’s Best Endeavour in the Arts award goes to Emily Wills."

REALLY WELL DONE EMILY!
