The Powderham Live! sessions took place on Sunday 4th November in the chapel at Powderham Castle. Over 30 young people signed up to play for the opportunity of being selected to perform at this year’s Powderham Live! weekend. And the range of music was remarkable.
Organiser Kevin Ward said:
“Thanks to all the musicians who played and sang in Powderham Castle’s lovely chapel today. We heard everything from beautiful ballads to gypsy folk, indie rock and funky jazz. Well done everyone! It was a fantastic afternoon of music! We’ll be back in touch in the next few days.”
One happy parent said:
“What an amazing way to have spent a Sunday afternoon. Astounded by the young talent our area has. Well done everyone involved.” Another parent added:
Fabulous afternoon!! The standards have raised yet another level, there is so much talent!”
Another mum movingly commented:
“Thank you all for a wonderful afternoon. My daughter and her friend were so nervous and the support you all gave even had my daughter crying happy tears on the way home. It meant so much.”
We look forward to the Powderham Live! weekend on 8-9th December when those chosen will perform in the iconic Music Room – always a very special occasion.
Tickets will be available from the Powderham Castle website shortly.
