Story-writing an illustration workshop at Christow Community School

November 5, 2016

workshop_602x350Every pupil at Christow Community School recently took part in a day-long story-telling and story-writing workshop led by Penny Little who wrote afterwards:

“For me it was a joy to spend a whole day at Christow Primary School with so many fabulous young writers!

We had a huge amount of fun playing with words, making characters and writing stories and I’m hoping some of the year 5/6 children will send me their finished books to see and comment on”.

“The work the Helen Foundation does to fund art workshops of all kinds for children is absolutely fantastic. It was a total privilege for me to have been invited to participate in this special day at such a lovely school.”

Headteacher, Andrew Swainson, wrote: I am glad you enjoyed your afternoon with us and were able to see, first hand, the impact of THF funding Penny’s visit to school. Thank you for giving the children that opportunity to be creative with words, inspired to write in a different way and to meet a ‘real author’.”

What a superb day!
