Aaron Cumbers, a truly talented young artist, was awarded a THF bursary in 2013 supported by a very strong application. He’s pictured next to the sculpture he created 3 years ago with steel purchased through his THF bursary.
It’s always great to hear from past bursary holders and Aaron wrote recently to say:
“You might remember me from about three years ago, when the Helen Foundation kindly supported and funded my final sculpture whilst I was enrolled onto KEVICC’S Art & Design Foundation. I am still highly grateful for the support you gave me and thought I would just let you know what I have been up to!
I successfully graduated from the HND- Jewellery & Silversmithing course at the School of Jewellery, Birmingham with Distinction. I decided to stay on and am now in my final module on the third year BA Hons- Jewellery & Silversmithing Design for Industry, specialising in silversmithing & luxury product design. It has all come around so quickly but remember I might not have got here without your generous help. You can have a look at some of the work I have created over the last three years on my new website.”
We are really proud of you, Aaron, and wish you every success in the future.
