A huge thank you to everyone who sent in pictures of the flowers they had enjoyed over Helen’s birthday in March. We had gorgeous photos from all round the world including New Zealand, Italy, Germany, France and Spain. There are simply too many to feature all of them here. Please don’t be offended if your kindly sent picture does not appear below but be assured they were very much appreciated by the Trustees.
A colleague of Helen’s wrote this very touching tribute when sending her photo. Helen was appearing in a play in Catford while keeping her day job as receptionist in a Canary Wharf office.
“I saw these and thought of Helen. When some of Helen’s fans went to see Italian American Reconciliation we had planned to throw lots of red roses on stage but the plan went awry and we arrived empty-handed. However, the next day we presented her with a bouquet in the office when there was a full house to applaud. She was gobsmacked, but handled the occasion with gracious charm and wit as only she could. It was then decided that Helen should always have flowers at Reception so all visitors could enjoy a double dose of gorgeousness when they arrived.”
